Champions Saturday is almost here! Tomorrow, State Rec Cup Champions will be determined for all ages. Good luck to all the finalists tomorrow!
5.14.12 - Congratulations to all Rec Cup Finalists. Head
down to McCurry Park South this Saturday, May 19, to see all the games on
Champion's Saturday. The Tournament Committee is looking forward to some
great competition as teams compete to win the title of State Rec Cup Champion.

5.13.12 - It wasn't what we would have wanted but everyone made it through. Thanks to the players, coaches, parents and fans for your cooperation and good spirits. There were some great matches, in spite of the rain. A big thank you to the venue personnel too - they worked hard to get this done. Congratulations to all teams that are advancing to Champion's Saturday. Good luck and have fun! And, if you want to see some good soccer next week head down to McCurry Park South. The weather report for next Saturday looks great.

has been raining a good part of the night. Venue managers will be at
the fields early on Sunday and we will report on field conditions as
soon as they are in. As much as we want to get all the games

5.12.12 - It was a great day at the Rec Cup with lots of competitive games. We are expecting showers tomorrow, so make sure you bring your umbrellas! Games will be played unless there is severe weather or unsafe field conditions. See you in the morning.

5.11.12 - Everything
is set for a great tournament. Although we don't expect any changes,
make sure you check your schedule for any last minute updates. Remember
to download the new Georgia Soccer Tournament App at the App store. Get
all the up to the minute scores and standing. Good luck, have fun and
we'll see you tomorrow at the Rec Cup!
5.6.2012 - Monday Check-In. For those who would prefer to check-in prior to the tournament, you may check-in your team tomorrow, Monday, May 7 at the Georgia Soccer office, 2323 Perimeter Park Drive, Atlanta, GA 30341 between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. If you check-in on Monday, you do not have to check-in before your first game on Saturday.

Divisions and venues are now posted. There are still a few openings in some divisions. If your team would like to fill a slot, please complete an online application along with payment and the tournament committee will contact you.

You Asked . . . We Listened!
New tournament format in 2012
The Rec Cup tournament committee is excited to announce a new format for this year’s State Rec Cup Championship event.
This new format will provide your team with:
- Great Competition
- Predetermined venues
- Reduced travel time for the majority of teams
- Updated format crowning State Champs in 5 games over 3 days
Round-robin games will be played the weekend of May 12-13, with all teams playing a minimum of 3 games. Teams advancing out of the round-robin will play a semi-final match on Sunday afternoon, May 13. Championship matches will be played on Saturday, May 19 – soon to be known as 'Champions Saturday'.
In addition, Rec Cup and President’s Cup Championship matches will be played at the same location on Champions Saturday - showcasing the very best of Georgia Soccer at both the Rec and mid-select levels! It will be a great day, with great games for players, fans and soccer lovers of all ages.

Just the Facts
ELIGIBILITY
The State Rec Cup is open to Recreational Teams registered and in good standing with Georgia Soccer. Age groups for this year's tournament are u10, u12, u14, u16 and u19 for both boys and girls teams.
Teams will be placed in the age group/division as they played during their regular spring season. U16 and older teams that play in the fall but do not have a spring season are eligible to play.
FORMAT
Teams will be placed into groups for Round Robin games, which take place on May 12-13. Semi final matches will take place on May 13. Final matches will be played on Champions Saturday, May 19.
